Mother India and a thought..
In retropect there are lessons to be learned..and this is what I'm thinking.
India is an amazing place and also a frustrating one too. India is full of labor and power incentive but also hindered by its incredible age and diversity, social blindness and turn-the-cheek corruption.
India can really have a chance at being number one in the World -as it strives to be, but clearly has many environmental issues that need attention and transformation. You can't build a sustainable economy on political corruption and unchangability. The new and growing consumer wants more money -and more of it, but the people are forgetting the bottom line -the foundation, the ecosystem, the very thing that holds the whole structure of society up.
Instead of focusing on more production, focus on the plan to clean up the foundation and create different avenues of industry based on that clean-up. This could generate billions of dollars for a starving nation.
I know I'm not the only one thinking this but the kind of reaction you would get in this situation usually wouldn't die on its first round of discussion. So WHY SO shy to go there? Why left alone without a word of consideration? Why do we forget?
-Maybe to much to ponder at right now -after all this is someone's home and this is what home looks like -so why change it?
After all why change something for the better when one has settled for worse?
But Money on the other hand.. Lord what people WILL DO for money..
There is indeed, so much to learn from the Indian culture and presently a very serious problem exists and the question is how long can Mother Earth sustain human waste and consumption, and equally sustain our overproduction and vast population growth?
Maybe sometime to think about it...
The problem is there with no one to face its ugly eye.
Here's an eye for you to see.
